You could also fix that issue by simply placing a badge on it that said LINCOLN.
I always second guess decisions like this but it can backfire, look at VW and the Phaeton, while this might be an extreme example it might be a hard sell to say to Ford take a huge risk and possibly suffer a loss that could propel you lower then GM in terms of finacial stability compared to playing it safe with the knowledge you will sell cars, albeit with a lower margin...

The only interiors I'd consider to be nice and from Ford are the ones found on their Lincoln Navigators and top model pickup trucks, and those are definitely not sold at taurus prices.

I was referring to the Mondeo but I was joking..because Ford interiors are so cheap the exterior looks don't require a overall high price. Anyway, I like Ford interiors better than GM (at least production GM, some of the concepts are getting better). The only thing I hate on lincolns is the steering wheel tho
