Who the hell needs a clutch when you have 483HP @ 8500RPM and 0.15 sec shifts.
Take a ride and then let us know if it needs a clutch, Clutch

Well I can tell you right now that it needs a clutch. ![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I'm sure it's a great car, and I'd probably still buy one if I was in that market (because the Gallardo just doesn't do it for me for some reason). But there should at least be the OPTION of having an MT. The new 612 Scaglietta (sp) is availible with one. And that's the freakin' FAMILY CAR of Ferraris. It just doesn't make sense to me that the 430 wouldn't have that option, too. I just don't get it.![Dunno](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
Glad you took the joke so well.

Autocar drives 'best Ferrari ever' - - Source: Autocar
Ferrari's junior supercar, the new F430, has been driven in Autocar this week, and we can exclusively reveal that it is not only 'the best road car they've ever made' but, on first impressions, more than a match for the car it was designed to beat - Lamborghini's Gallardo.
Editor-at-large Steve Sutcliffe's verdict on the new Ferrari leaves the extent of its makers achievement in little doubt: 'This car is fantastic,' he writes. 'It is very probably the best road car Ferrari has ever built.'
But feature editor Ben Oliver's impressions of the new Ferrari, after driving it back-to-back with its nearest competition, the Lamborghini Gallardo, prove just as telling. 'I wish I could explain how utterly correct it felt to drive a red Ferrari and a yellow Lamborghini in bright sunshine near as fast as they’d go over the Italian mountain roads they were made for,' he writes. 'I can’t, so I’m going to do it again now. I’ll be driving the Gallardo, but I’ll be thinking about the F430.'

Wow, thats a long read.
Yo clutch...did you read that?
The F430 is available with either the classic Ferrari open-gate manual gearbox or with the F1 paddle shift that Ferrari has continuously developed and refined over recent years for its road-going berlinettas.

The original U.S. delivery plan was for late November or early December 2004. Most European buyers still get the first cars in November, with right-hand-drive markets getting theirs in early 2005.

It doesn't look like the car in the review had the F430 carved into the mirrors but it might just be too far away to tell. ![Dunno](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
The shape looks the same though...

I will place my order now, i am assuming the waiting list is 2-3 years, plenty of time to save up...i need a new daily driver, the TSX is a bit too extreme for daily driving
now can i get one in carbon gray??? it would look great next to my CG TSX...

Just picked up January's Car & Driver. Along with the TSX again being awarded to the 10 Best and an interested letter on page 23
they did a full test of the F430.
All I can say is
0-60 - 3.5 sec
1/4 mile - 11.7 sec
The second fastest Ferrari ever. This thing leaves the Gallardo in its dust and almost keeps pace with the Ford GT. The SLR was tested as well and it ran 3.6 and 11.6.
