Future Ferrari? Design exercise reveals potential next 360 Modena - - - By GREG KABLE - - Source: Autoweek
No, this isn’t a new Ferrari supercar, not officially anyway. The striking mid-engine Ferrari Aurea—that we hear may make its world premier at a gathering of automotive design types somewhere in a neutral country in Europe—is the work of little-known Italian design studio DGF and students from Florence University.
The design group teamed with nearby Ferrari (including Ferrari’s Stefano Carmassi, who was responsible for the aerodynamic package on the Enzo) to conceive and design the ultimate F1-inspired road car. Aurea is the same length as a 360 Modena but weighs 300 pounds less than Ferrari’s volume model.
Power comes from a 360-derived 500-hp 4.0-liter V8, pushing the Aurea to a theoretical 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds, and to a top speed of 202 mph—19 mph more than the 360.

First Ferrari I really don't like much. I agree about the trying too hard part. If they made this design a little more subtle, then maybe it will work, but these pictures don't do it for me

I keep seeing the same design rift over and over again on this site. One one side (which I include myself on, gavriil, etc.) you have the people who are cold to this design, don't like most of Bangle's designs... Then you have the other group (Soopa, ItalianStallion, etc..) I see it over and over again.
I guess that's why there are so many designs out there. Each person has their own tastes and some are diametrically opposed

Only one word comes to mind - UGLY!!!
However, it's got to be the most aerodynamically designed car I've ever seen. I bet it goes over 240 MPH and handles better than any other car.
