That's beyond chonky boi though. That's insane that's it's nearly 3 tons. The Model S (I'm comparing the two solely on size) weighs 1k pounds less.

Dodge has finally announced the pricing for the Charger Daytona, the EV it unveiled earlier this year. The model starts at $59,595, but the range-topping Scat Pack is a $73,190 affair.
The entry-level version is the Charger Daytona R/T, which customers can drive home for a starting price of $59,595. However, it qualifies for the full $7,500 federal tax credit, so we're looking at an EV that should start at $52,195, which is way more affordable than expected.
The price includes 18-inch aluminum wheels, heated front seats with eight-way power adjustment for the driver, and a heated steering wheel.
The 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and the 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system provide all the relevant information and car functions. Keyless Go, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system with a subwoofer, and dual-zone automatic climate control are on the menu.
The Daytona R/T comes with a dual-motor setup, which generates 456 horsepower (462 metric horsepower) and 404 pound-feet (547 Newton meters) of torque. The PowerShot takes it all the way to 496 horsepower (503 metric horsepower) for a limited amount of time: 15 seconds.
It makes the R/T flash from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 4.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 137 mph (220 kph). The 100.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack stores enough energy for a drive of up to 317 miles (510 kilometers) on a single charge.
Meanwhile, Dodge has prepared a $73,190 starting price for the Charger Daytona Scat Pack, which pumps out 630 horsepower (637 metric horsepower) and 627 pound-feet (849 Newton meters) of torque.
However, the PowerShot brings along 670 horsepower (679 metric horsepower) for a run from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, a quarter mile of 11.5 seconds, and a tip speed of 134 mph (216 kph). Equipped with the same battery, the Scat Pack has to settle for a shorter drive before it needs to be plugged in again: 260 miles (418 kph).
Those who go for the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack will get a Line Lock function and Launch Control. The Track Pack is standard and comes with 20-inch aluminum wheels, a gloss black rear spoiler, a dual valve adaptive damping suspension, and Brembo brakes with red brake calipers.
The Charger Daytona gets a leather and suede interior, heated rear seats, a head-up display, and the larger digital instrument cluster of 16 inches.
Dodge also offers the optional Plus Group, rated at $4,995. It brings ventilated front seats, the option of a Demonic Red seats, the Attitude Adjustment light system, and a 360-degree camera.
Customers can also check the box for the Sun & Sound package, if they are willing to pay $2,495. The price includes a glass sunroof and an 18-speaker Alpine premium audio system.
Meanwhile, the Blacktop package brings dark badges and 20-inch wheels finished in a dark tone for $1,095. Reserved exclusively for the Scat Pack is the 3-Season Tire Pack, rated at $695. It is for those who want to see their Scat shod with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires, replacing the standard all-season rubber.
Also exclusive for the Scat Pack is the Carbon & Suede package, costing $2,995. Carbon fiber mirror caps, dark badges, and 20-inch wheels are on the menu, as well as seats, dashboard, and door cards in leather and suede.
The 2024 Charger Daytona also comes with the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, with a range of sounds that try to trick us into believing that we are dealing with an ICE. Dodge has recently teased the sound that the EV makes, and the followers were anything but happy about it.
They called it "an angry mosquito" and told the automaker "You can't fool us." Dodge is definitely not trying to fool anyone but to enhance emotion behind the steering wheel of its first performance EV and turn the heads of those around while at it.
Dodge will open orders fo the world's first electric muscle car soon and will start deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2024. The EVs will start rolling the production line this summer.
The gas-powered Dodge Charger Sixpack HO and the four-door Sixpack SO will go into production at a later date, sometime in the second half of 2025. Both will be powered by Stellantis' 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Hurricane V6, which brings 420 horsepower to the Dodge Charger Sixpack SO and 550 horsepower to the Sixpack HO.

More... affordable?

Why would one buy this over a Tesla or entry level Lucid or any number of small/mid size EV SUV's on the market in that price bracket?

Either Mopar Loyalists....or more importantly...anyone selling EVs would be extremely smart to cash in on all the Musk backlash of recent....though the majority of mopar buyers are trump-monkeys...soooo, they would be better off just buying a tesla

Mopar-bois was my first guess. Given the choice of a Tesla or Charger, I'd think the average would lean Mopar

So...this will go down in history right next to the Dodge Hornet lol. The king of rental car fleets all over.

This thing is freaking huge!
207" long, 80" wide, and 5800lb+. I wonder how much space is inside. It's pretty crazy that it's as heavy as a Kia EV9 3-row SUV lol.
For reason it's a lot cheaper in Canada for the RT as it starts at just under $55k CAD. It's eligible for the $5000 federal incentive too. It's not bad considering it has 500hp and AWD and that a Model 3 SR RWD is at CAD $50k.

Id lie if I said I wasn't slightly interested after my history with them. But my attention is more with Rivian...and Tesla even though I fucking hate Musk (but love my car).

On another note, if I were in the market for a $50-60k CAD, I'd definitely consider the Daytona R/T EV!
