Jaguar Coupe News **Sketch by Jaguar's design director Ian Callum (page 1)**
This is totally unofficial so I wont quote the source, but there are very strong rumors that Jaguar is preparing a 2-door car to go against the 911. I am wondering if it will be based on the RD-6 Concept we saw.

Though Jaguar should take advantage of their F1 participation better. There is no transfer of knowledge currently from that group. I am sure we'll see it soon if they get in the coupe market.
Of course, I am hearing that this may be the last year for the Jag team in F1. They're looking for a buyer I hear...

New Cat Is Quick On The Draw - - Source: Autoexpress
It's a well known fact that car designers and journalists are never off-duty. So when Auto Express columnist Mike Rutherford found himself sitting alongside Jaguar's design director Ian Callum at an industry dinner, he persuaded him to serve up a new-look Cat.
During the meal, Callum commented on Rutherford's stylish Nis-san pen. On being invited to try it, Callum grabbed the nearest piece of paper - his name tag on the table - and promptly did a crude sketch of a small Jaguar.
But that wasn't the end of it; Rutherford pocketed the piece of paper, with plans to publish it. But when the two men next met, he confessed to the scheme. Callum said no way, unless it was accompanied by a more detailed version - and done with a Jaguar pen! Here's the result. Callum stressed that if Jaguar ever decided to build a small model - and it was a very big 'if' - it might look like this.
Considering this sketch was done on the back of a napkin in about five minutes, Jag fans must be wondering what Callum might do if he had five years and a big budget.

considering how both the 318ti and MB C230 hatch failed, i think Jag would be too "pussy" (haha) to build it. If they can't sell a car in the entry-luxo sedan market, how are they going to sell well in the entry luxo-hatch segment
