Boo ... no guts on Daimler's part to make something a little different. And I agree with the above posts ... why is Chrysler making 2 door models into 4 doors? And what niche does this car take in the line-up?

Wouldn't you scratch your head if they named a car "Corvette" and it appeared as a station wagon?

Well ... I did an informal poll with coworkers and they said they "liked" the new Avenger R/T in the pics above. Mind you, these are 40-something soccer moms who don't want to drive such a large car (ie Charger). So I guess Daimler did their homework -- getting soccer moms (who already have a minivan) into the dealership -- it'll allow the guys to compromise and get the Avenger instead of the Charger ...

Dodge/Chrysler have absolutely no offererings that appeal to me. They really need some help. The Sebring/Avenger duo is just awful. None of their designs are doing anything at all for me, and knowing how unrefined & uninspiringly they'll drive, and how plasticky and nasty the interiors will be just completely turns me off.

I think it looks good, better than the silver pics.......has to do with the color and the bigger wheels.
Looks better than many of the other cars in its class imo.
And if they offer that CRD in the States, dealers won't be able to keep them in stock.

Doesn't look too bad ... but like I said before ... people looking to buy a coupe will be disappointed.
And if the CRD (diesel?) is from Mercedes ... that car will sell like hot cakes. Hope they also steal some NHV technology to minimize the 'diesel engine sound' for a sedan.
