Bugatti: Veyron Super Sports
The new Veyron Super Sports has been revealed & set the world record for a production car at 267Mph, though the car did also achieve 269.8Mph on one run.
All production models will be limited to 258Mph & the first 5 come in the color scheme below. Car will be shown to the public in August.
As production of the Bugatti Veyron winds toward its eventual conclusion, Bugatti has created what is likely to be the ultimate version of its world-beating hypercar: the Super Sports. Bugatti sent its official test driver Pierre Henri Raphanel out on Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessian high-speed oval with the first Super Sports to see just what it could do. With representatives of the Guinness book of records and German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) on hand, Raphanel made passes around the big oval in both directions.
With output bumped up from 1,001 horsepower to 1,200 horsepower, torque swelling to 1,106 pound-feet and a revised aerodynamic kit, Raphanel managed runs of 265.9 and 269.8 mph for an average terminal velocity of 267.81 mph and a new world record for a production car.
The first five production Super Sports will sport the same black and orange finish as the record car and all production models will be electronically limited to 257.9 mph to protect the tires. The Veyron Super Sports will be publicly shown for the first time at the Pebble Beach in August. Click past the break for the full details.

Obligatory x 1000
A little more about changes to the car.
To keep the car stable, Bugatti’s engineers revamped the suspension with stiffer spring rates and race-grade shock absorbers. In addition, Bugatti cleaned the Veyron’s profile up, replacing the engine’s roof scoops with a pair of sleeker NACA ducts, while the front and rear valances have are more streamlined appearance. The tail end also receives a new double diffuser for improved downforce.

Burning Brakes
Status, of course. Now the Super Sports owners can feel superior to the "regular" Veyron owners. Then again, if you have the cash to get any Veyron you can probably afford either one.

2011 Bugatti 16/4 Veyron ‘L'Or Blanc’
Press release...
With the partnership between Bugatti and the Königliche Porzellan-Manufatur Berlin (KPM), the renowned manufacturer emphasizes the ability in creating pieces of automotive art.
The "L'Or Blanc" celebrates its world premiere with an exclusive unveiling ceremony on June 30, 2011 at the KPM workshops in Berlin. This unique version of a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport is the world's first motor car to wear the finest porcelain on its body, as well as in its cabin. It captivates with an abstract exterior design.
"At first, it seems to be an unusual idea to use porcelain in a car, especially in the world's fastest convertible," comments Dr. Stefan Brungs, Director of Sales and Marketing at Bugatti Automobiles. "But this is what Bugatti stands for: the realization of exceptional ideas whilst striving for the utmost in quality and aesthetics. This allows us to continue Ettore Bugatti's heritage, who himself loved to experiment with new materials."
"The impulse for that partnership came from Rembrandt Bugatti's renowned elephant," tells Jörg Woltmann, owner of the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin (KPM) and car aficionado. "At the beginning, we wanted to integrate the sculpture in our product range, then we thought about the potential for a comprehensive service and finally the synthesis of ideas led us to this outstanding Grand Sport." Woltmann is enthusiastic about the "L'Or Blanc". "A number of superlatives are associated with porcelain from the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin: one says it has the most beautiful shapes and decors, it has the hardest weight and the whitest tone. Now, it is also the fastest porcelain."
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport "L'Or Blanc" presented in Berlin, is a one-of-a-kind creation. Nevertheless, the partnership is supposed to be continued, and Bugatti's designers received a lot of inspiration from porcelain painting offering a variety of new opportunities for the design. The price of the Bugatti L'Or Blanc amounts to 1.65 m EUR.
