Before the Audi RS 7 there was the B-body Chevrolet Impala SS

The A7-based RS 7 (or RS7) is currently the fastest four-door from Audi. The Caprice-based SS was the fastest four-door from Chevrolet at the time. Roof lines and windows appear to be similar. Both use V-8 engines. The RS 7 is a retro-style performance sedan; styled after the SS. The RS 7 is basically a 20th anniversary version of the 1994-'96 SS.

The SS was fast for its time. The RS 7 is fast right now. Only difference is, nationalities: German and American, respectively.

The RS 7 is a legit BMW M5, AMG E63 competitor. It is also a hatchback, not a coupe, which the Porsche Panamera Turbo S is.

Disclaimer: I don't own either picture.

Please don't troll here. It's not even funny. I've seen both cars in person before.

To the OP:

You keep doing strange, stream-of-consciousness, threads that are not on topic. Why?

You perhaps didn't read my previous posts. These cars look 93% similar, along with the roof line, bubble top, etc. Also, Automotive News is a great category for threads like this.

That's the first time I've ever been accused of that one.

Some of you trolling types need to get your stories straight. Now I don't know if I'm supposed to be an Acura-Fanboy, a BMW-Fanboy, or a BRZ/FRS-Fanboy.

I see the similarity: One is an absolutely drop dead gorgeous 4 seat "coupe" with an interior that sets the bar pretty high amongst all cars on the planet.

The other is a luxo-barge with couch like seating and has been used as a cop car.

Yep, sign me up.
