Farboud Changes Course
Farboud, the East Anglia-based fledgling sports car maker, has reined-in its ambitions to produce a £150,000 Ferrari-rivalling supercar, and instead is to concentrate its efforts on developing a £60,000 model to fill the gap created by the demise of the Lotus Esprit.
Arash Farboud, the 28-year-old owner of the company, admitted: 'The arrival of the Lamborghini Gallardo and Ferrari 360 Stradale, both exceptionally good and beautifully made cars, has rather killed off the market for a £150K car from an unheard-of manufacturer.'
The first production version of the expensive GTS model, powered by a heavily reworked Audi RS4 twin-turbo V6, has now left the factory and three more are currently in build; two further GTS chassis are without owners.
Development work won't go to waste, however, because the new car, known internally as the GT V8, will borrow heavily from its far costlier sibling. Its body is a subtle restyle of the GTS's and its chassis is largely the same; the big difference will be the powerplant. While the GTS had a bespoke engine, the GT will use Ford's 350bhp, quad-cam, 4.6-litre V8.

Body
100% carbon construction using aluminum honeycomb and nomex panels for sandwich strength.
Rear window and driver to engine compartment window made of non shatter and scratch resistant plastic. Front windows and side windows are constructed of laminated glass.
All body parts have been constructed using the carbon autoclave process of eliminating excess resins via pressure and heat to make parts lighter and stiffer than ever constructed.

History
Arash Motor Company was established in March 2006 and has been working on the AF10 ever since.
The styling drawings were made in March 2005 by Arash Farboud Designs and have since been converted into computer models and aerodynamic cfd mesh models.
The company is located in Sawston on the outskirts of Cambridge. Most testing will be conducted at Millbrooke proving grounds 20 miles away from the company. The facility in Sawston Cambridge is equipped with a styling studio, painting booth, carbon lamination room, parts dispatch area, carbon curing autoclave oven and polished epoxy floored car assembly stations. A board room and administration offices are also located at the site.
Arash Motor Company have designed a traditionally shaped badge with an eagle emblem. The background colour is solid black and the foreground eagle is in gold. The Arash Motor Company' emblem is in flame orange.
