ACura 4 seater Convertible

haha....It'll be a very interesting idea. That's what I've kind of thinking too.
However, the problem is that it'll unfortunately compete with its own Accord Coupe V6 MT and the RSX. My idea is that the RSX should have a wide model range so that on the lower model end, it'll compete with the "rice rockets" like Celica or Eclipse etc, and have the top-end model fighting as the coupe version of the TSX against the MB, BMW and of sort lower end coupe models.
The CL replacement should be the coupe version of the new TL, IMO. I think it makes more sense this way.

An expansion of the Civic-based Integra/RSX would be reasonable at the low-end, but if you make the line too broad, then you might get overlap with the next step up, the TSX.
Since both the CL, TL, and TSX are all variants on the Accord underpinnings, maybe two coupes in the mid-range would be useful, one being a TSX coupe and the other a TL coupe. I guess the 4-cylinder TSX coupe would fit in the 25-30K slot, and the supposed 6-cylinder TL coupe would fit in the 30-35K slot.
One hint from an Acura salesperson was that a TSX coupe is on the way, perhaps for the 2005 model year. I haven't heard of anything regarding a replacement for the CL coupe. Recall that the first CL coupes were available with 4 cylinders. Perhaps the TSX coupe will be a rebirth of that original notion.

In Oct. '02, I asked the Acura people at the auto show about a coming "sports coupe". The guy said, "Did you read that in Car & Driver? Don't believe it -- they're always wrong." Priceless.

Dealers are usaully full of it cause not even the man in the office get's that much info from Honda/Acura. We all should know that Honda is very secretive of their work and is very careful about infomation leakin to the streets.
By the way Honda/Acura Canada sucks. We don't get the damn navi systems in our vehicle. They said we should be gettin it in early 2005.... Yeah right!

Ever heard of the old wrestler, The Crusher? Really was a bright guy but played stupid. One time he was asked what was his last name:
"Crusher."
First name?
"Da."

I still remember when I was asking people at the New Orleans dealership at the autoshow about the TSX (on display, back in February).
After asking the guy a couple questions I learned that the car weighed 4500 pounds and would start at $23,000, with a Typse-S model coming at the same time in April for $28,000, including navi.

I agree that Acura really needs a convertible to compete w/ cars like BMW, etc. and even cars like Toyota Solara. I almost bought one of those just to get a convertible (until I came to my senses and bought a Honda
