i bought the xm roady and i have a few questions:
1. can the roady be wired directly to the stock stereo or do i need any other parts?
2. can the "not an ashtray" be removed and how?
3. what's the best way to run the antenna wire through the car?
thanks fo any info you can give!

yes,
yes and by removing the pocket above it and removing the plate around the shifter
along and under the door thresholds and into the trunk by going around the lower seat cushion and up behind the seatback.

The best way to connect the Roady is by using a SoundGate SNHOND3 along with a Radio Shack GLI. This will give you an Aux input to the stock stereo. You can also use this for MP3 players like the iPod.
The antenna does not need to be installed outside the cabin as the instructions say. It can be placed in the rear shelf next to the brake light. The wire can then be run between the seats and other panels. You can use a flat screwdriver and something soft like a popsicle stick to shove the wire out of site. I did not have to dismantle anything to string the antenna to the center console.
I used the storage area to hold the roady. A got a plexiglass u bracket from The Container Store that was just perfect. I used tape adhesive for the u bracket against the side wall and velcro to hold the Roady to the u bracket. I then drilled a hole in the back of the storage area to run my wires to the roady. When I am away from my car, I just close the storage area and the Roady is hidden.
Finally, enjoy the Roady and XM. I love mine.

great info...i ordered the SNHOND3 and i'll get it tomorrow. i'll also pick up the GLI. now i just have to find someplace trustworthy to install. i'm not the kind of girl who's handy like that. GA_TSX, are you in atlanta? if so, want to put mine in?
pm me if so.
thanks for the help, great site here and i've learned a lot!
ps...know what's ironic? when i called to activate my xm, there was no hold music, just silence and the occasional "sorry for the delay" message.
