XM Commander and Navi DVD?

Ok, So i have had this done so far:

Xm Commander installed, the dvd player in my glove box, tv tuner. I then bought the blitzsafe for navigation and installed that. (Which sounds 100% better). But now i need to turn on the dvd player, and let it run and then turn on the xm in order to get loud clear sound out of the xm. If the dvd player is off, or not running, then the xm is not loud, or clear, it is flat. So what i have been doing is i turn on the dvd player and go to aux rear so it is quiet, then i turn on the xm and get the good sound. Now when i put an audio cd in the dvd player it sounds like a cd should, when i put a dvd in the dvd player the dvd does not sound good. Does anyone have any insight as to what the problem may be?

Dude, I don't even know what you are talking about : )

Can you explain how you have this connected?

Yeah man...you totally lost me too. You should probably also use the return key a little.

Basically, in order for my xm radio to sound good, i need to turn on my dvd player. I have the blitzsafe hooked up to the radio then to fm modulator rca's. I am not the one who installed it. So i will have to go back. I just wanted to know exactly what goes where. i.e. DVD player plugs into the fm mod... etc Do you understand what im trying to get? I want to go back to the installer with a diagram to have them check it.

What I am suspecting is that the way the DVD audio is rinning into the Blitzsafe, and how the Blitzsafe is running into the XM, is wrong.

You haven't said if you have an '05 with OE XM or an '04 with aftermarket XM... if you have an 'o5, then you have some conflict with the way the Blitz and the OE XM are connected. If an '04, you have some conflict with how the DVD and XM are running into the Blitz together.

As an aside, it is NEVER an good idea to run two outputs into a single input, and I suspect that this has been done, either at the RCA cables into the Blitz or on the OE harness level.

Read the humperdood thread about using that ""Y" harness... he had issues...
