Xbox in TSX

I have found that people put PS2 in the tsx. I was wondering where you would consider putting an xbox cause i dont think it would fit under the seat.

I have an Xbox. I did think it was funny. Why don't you try it or measure. Otherwise, try to tack it up under the glove box out of the way.

has anyone found anything on the web about anyone else putting an xbox in there car, cause i have not been able to find anything.

also i was wondering if anyone has taken out the rear seats cause if there was enough room under the seats it could be mounted under there and made to look really nice.

There's next to no room at all under the rear seats. I would suggest the trunk as the best place. It would be a PITA when you want to change games but I can't see it fitting anywhere else.

I know this is not an xbox forum but if I were to put the xbox in the trunk would there be a way to make or add a cd changer to the xbox

Do you actually mean you want to take the DVD drive out of the xbox and put in a cd changer???

I'm sure there are a few engineers at Microsoft would be very interested in having you on their team if you can figure out how that's going to work!

Probably not since the Xbox's firmware would not know what to do with a changer. Also, the format of Xbox "CD's" is proprietary and hold less than a dvd but more than a cd. I think you are trying to accomplish the improbable here, but, I do wish you all the luck in the world. Perhaps a solution like those portable "DVD players in a bag" suspended by the headrests between the seats could be an option.

well considering that if I put it in the trunk changing the movie/game would really be a pain while driving. So I was actually yes hoping of doing basically what you said.

would there be any chance of changing the laser in the changer to this one

Let me put it this way: if you could do it, you would know how to do it.

Its way more involved than just screwing in a new laser.

well I was thinking the only other way to do it would be to remove the drive and install it in the glove box and get extension cable for the cables which i know can be done. and put the rest of the system in the trunk.

Actually that couldn't be done either. The max length of an IDE cable is 24". I think you're stuck with leaving the xbox intact.

So I guess the only way is to remove the glove box and have a fiberglass piece made to fit where it was with an opening for the xbox behind

or

sit it between the two speakers in the back and run the wires into the trunk and then under the carpet up to the screen that way you have access to it in the car

well the car has fold down seats, so maybe you can still conceal it, but have it read for easy access with one of the seats down. And then just use wireless controllers. On a GC, the wireless controll have tremendous distance, and go through walls.

You could always set it sideways on the backseat floor "hump".

You can also custom fab an aluminum or stainless chassis that makes the Xbox wider, but less tall. The limiting factor there would be the heatsinks and power supply caps.

What do you guys think of doing this, and then build a cover for it and covering it with matching grey carpeting

you dont think that it would look bad there or out of place that much the only other way i thought of would be to remove the glove and just use the face panel from it to to cover it
