3/4" birch plywood 2x2 sheet at Home Depot: $10?
Bosch jigsaw at Home Depot: $139
Making your own spacers for your car instead of using some plastic piece of crap: priceless.
I'd worry more about the mag and frame diameter than the depth... the hole isn't very big. I'd check out the thread on TSX spacers to see what you want to do (I have made them for the 03 CL the same way...)
Oh, and I'd get some 1/8 masonite and 1/4 masonite too.
