Has anyone successfully wired up an OEM camera?

Seems like most are on a 6 pin setup with the following connections:

CAMERA ADAPT
CAMERA SH
CAMERA V
CAMERA GRD
VCC GRD
CAMERA VCC

I also secured a voltage regulator since the camera voltage is less than 12 volts.

I hooked up the following and got no signal:

CAMERA V --> Video out
CAMERA GRD --> Ground
VCC GRD --> Ground
CAMERA VCC --> Signal from voltage regulator

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
