will these fit??
2002 Crystal CSc 60s Components, the mounting depth is 2.25.
sounddomain says they are 7" speakers designed to fit in oversized 6 1/2", 6 3/4", and 7" speaker openings...
so i wonder if these will fit...or if i have to go down to 5 1/4"
Im also lookin to buy 2 sets of used boston acoustic pro series to fit in the front and rear of my tl, they are 5 1/4s so would they fit alright ?? mounting depth is 2-5/16" (59mm)
thanks in advance

Read this from SB:
The stock basket is 2-1/2 inches deep. At 2-3/4 inches into the door frame, you hit the window when it's rolled down. Anything at 2-1/2 inches or less into the door frame and 1 inch or less on the outside of the door frame will fit and still allow the door panel to snap back in place. There is also a limit as to the diameter of the speaker basket. The door hole cutout is only around 4-1/4 to 4-1/2 inches wide. Most 6-1/2 inch speakers really want a 5 inch hole cutout. Sometimes you have to make a custom spacer to accomodate for this as well as drill a new hole pattern.

Thanks for the help zotl...
I SERIOUSLY doubt that anything described as a 7 inch speaker will fit... A lot of 6-1/2 inch speakers won't even fit. Your problem wouldn't be the mounting depth in this case, but the door frame cutout is only 4-1/2 inches max. So you would probably have to do some serious mods to the door frame or custom spacer work or BOTH to get those babies to fit.
If you don't want to go through a lot of work sawing out the door frame, etc. You need a 6-1/2 inch speaker that is on the small side to fit... or else a 5-1/4 inch speaker that is nice and heavy duty to fit and still have the bass punch of a 6-1/2...
Sorry that I don't have better news for you... but Acura/Blose really put the restraints on us...
Good luck!

I'm hoping to run memphis 16-st3004(4X75) or maybe Hifonics Zeus Series Z6400(4X85) for the mids and hi's
