Make sure you don't have any lables on the CD.Use a quality CD media for burning. Try buring at a lower speed.

I had a little trouble with an older CD that I had burned way back. All my newer ones on better media work just fine.

I prefer TDK or memorex. I have never had a problem with these guys.

Those CDs with the problem, can you play them in other CD players fine?

If you still have problems playing CDs with better media, I would have it looked at.

I'm currently using HP cd's. They seem pretty high quality. And the burnt ones seem to play fine in other cd players, I don't know why it does that in my Acura. And when burning I usually burn at a low speeds, usually 4x, or sometimes even 2x.

Your CDs seem fine.
The only thing I have noticed is that when I leave some burned CDs in hot conditions, they warp and don't paly as well.
Another thing is if you overburn your CDs for more than what is specified, that may cause problems as well.
But what is sounds like is your HU might be getting old. Maybe it needs to be cleaned. Otherwise, take it to your dealer.

How would I go about cleaning it? I don't know much about sterios thats why I'm relying on the experts on our board.

If not should I just go to the dealer?

its a known issue on the forum .. if you search for burned cds .. well.. anyway, the bose units in our cars are known to be "unfriendly" to cd-rs .. It doesn't just discriminate from cheap and expensive. Its more an issue of how reflective the foil is. so my advice would be to find a brand that works and stick with that. as for why it doesnt wanna play 'normal' bought cds then well .. I dont know .

Post Whats wrong with my head unit? Help!!!

Hey guys! Help!!

Why is that my cd player never plays any songs or takes a long time to play songs when I skip from songs to songs. For example I'm listing to "Song 1" and in the middle of "Song 1" I skip to "Song 3" the dumb thing just sits their trying to read the cd and takes forever. It is very frustrating!! Can someone help? Is there something wrong with my head unit?
