i have a friend who has 2 12" HE2's with i forgot which amp but pumps out pretty good........i was wondering what if the JL equivalent to this? i dont want to pay more than a G so what do you guys think would be most $$$ efficient amp and 2 subs???? any input will help.....thankx alot........by the way i have a 2003 white TLS bodykit and spoiler no nAvi.......please HELP!!!!!

 

If I were you I would go with (2) JLW3 12's. They handle 250watts r.m.s. and only cost about $200 each maybe even less, if you find a good deal. The JL 500/1 would be the perfect amp to power the two subs. This amp is $400-$500 depending on where you get it. I have 3 JLw3 12's and I plan on downgrading to only two ported up through the rear deck.

W3 12" subs 175-200 each
JL 500/1 400-500
custom box 100-200

Total: $850-900

This comes in under your budget I believe. Use the extra money for wiring and maybe even a more elaborate box.

will this setup with 2 JLw3's out pump the 2 HE2's and please dont give me any biased answer just because JL is a bigger name then rockfords thankx alot

 

Rockford is good, but I believe the JLW3's will be a little louder/cleaner than the HE2's. The Rockford HX2's would probably be louder than the W3's though. If you buy JL woofers from an authorized dealer you also get a two year warranty.

Got wit ALpine Type R's. I spent about 3k on my system but only have one subwoofer,a Type R 12 in a small sealed box wit a rockford amp pushing 400 watts to it.

 

The RF HX2's will definitely be louder than the JL 12W3's but the JL's will have a lot more SQ.
