I was thinking about changing my head unit out in my 2002 tl but didnt want to lose the 6 disc in dash changer so i was talking to a couple of friends and they mentioned that eclipse had one...I went to the eclipse web site and saw the changer but was unable to find anywhere on the internet that had a price and no one here in jacksonville carries eclipse...So really i have two questions....
1 how are eclipse head units..
2 anyone know where on the internet i might be about to order eclipse car audio equip.....

 

Eclipse kicks ass.........I have the new video screen, with the
8-disc changer. I also have 2 12" titanium series from eclipse. Eclipse will not disappoint you, but that's just my opinon.

Eclipse is very expensive (I think you pay a lot for the name) but they make high-quality head units. I had one in my '93 Sentra SE-R with the remote 6-disc changer. Sound quality was unbelieveable and they are very durable. The only fault I found was (at least on mine) the lack of features. They may have changed that on newer head units. Plus they have the anti-theft code deal like our OEM head units. That's worth extra right there. And Eclipse is/was OEM on many Mercedes vehicles too. That should tell you something.

 

Oh and Tweeter, Etc. carries Eclipse. I don't know where in Florida you're located but the closest Tweeter stores to Florida are in Georgia. You can visit their website for store locations.

 

eclipse makes nice headunits. a pretty good balance between the factory/aftermarket look

dont buy any of their stuff on the internet...you wont get a warranty. its one of their policies
