TL: what to do to my 99 tl
You're going to need to provide more information for us to be able to help you... Do you just want stupid loud bass? Do you want a Sound Quality system? How much work are you going to be doing yourself? Are you wanting to replace the speakers as well as add subs or what? How much of your trunk are you willing to give up for subs? Again, the more details you give, the better answers you're going to get...

you can't just post a number and expect good recommendations, you need to tell us what you are looking for, what you want to replace, etc.
alright so i want good sound quality but also i want to have that loud bass, but i dont know how to do install anything so most likely i will be going to a shop, and im willing to use my whole trunk because of right now its completley empty, so really im looking for quality loud speakers and a good bass and if you could just throw sum numbers out cuz ill put more money down for a good system
Well, what you can buy on your own and what you can get installed at a shop are 2 completely different levels for the same budget. Where are you located? If you're near me, I'd be more than willing to help.
Just a heads up, a shop local to me charged a guy $600 for a simple sealed box. The same thing could've been built for ~$50 if the guy had done it himself...

hmm alright i live in Ny... and damn 600 well theres a place near me that i was thinking bout going to called dreamtoyz.net but if i could install it for cheaper i would be willing to do it... so if i got it done in the shop what you think i could be spending for labor for them putting whatever in
Well, what you could buy and install for $2500 could cost up to $10k at a shop. Just saying...
If you could take pictures and measurements of your trunk, I can help you set up your sub setup pretty easily. Building a box is very simple with basic tools and a bit of a time investment. The more time you put in on the box, the better it will come out. The design is the hardest part of the box. Building is the easy part. There are plenty of people out there that can do the designs, so all you'll have to worry about is building.
And the best way to decide what speakers you want is to listen to them installed in a car and to get as much information about those installs as possible because 80-90% of how a setup will sound is in the install. It's not hard to get a nice install going, if you know where to put your money up front, and you're willing to put in a little time doing your research and install.

If you drive a 99 tl, then don't bother taking pics. Just look around the site, some of the guys on here did very unique work (im guessing thats what you want), sometimes it's just a box, but it fits in the trunk perfectly and it's clean overall (which is nice too).

We don't need pics, just an idea of what you are looking for. You may want to stop into the shop and at least consult with the guys there about getting some ideas, doesn't mean you have to pay the shop to do the work. But at least you can talk with people that know what they're talking about, also they probably have equipment there you can demo and see how it works
