I've only read and heard about CDT by reputation of I think one article in car audio and electronics. My lack of exposure to the brand combined with the fact that I've never heard em before might prevent me from plunking down the money for it

CDT Audio makes great speakers. I have the HD63DTS in my car as well as a set of CL6Xs and they rock. Ron (StreetEffectz) was blown away by the amount of midbass these things put out.
Anyone that was at the PA meet last weekend got to hear them. Keep in mind I'm only running 30 watts/channel into them and they sound great. I highly recommend them.
