I have about $800-$900 to spend on a system. I am not to knowledgeable when it comes to systems. So for that money, whats the best i can do? etc.... I am not looking to just add bass, i would like to hear the actual music too, like a total upgrade. So lemme know what you guys think.

you should be able to get a decent amp with a bass volume control and a pretty good sub with that money. i spent $350 for my amp and $250 for a 12inch MTX 8000 sub on a q-logic box. wiring cost me about $50.00.

 

I'd say you could do it for $800-900, but you'd best shop the internet. Also, you'll probably be on your own to do the install since this figure won't include installation.

Now I know this is a little over what you wanted but I personally know he will beat these price's by alot. I have bought the MTX T302 for $240 from him and the sub box for $30. Shipping is something else if you don't live close to him.
This will be a nice clean system. Not overly bassy but You still will be heard down the block.
