what are the best subs for SQ? read>

i posted this on another board where a conversation has been going on about what is the best SQ subs. i did a little comparason here using a sealed and ported box. ill past the rest of the post here >>
OK i am going to put an end to the NONSENCE!! here is some factual comparasons of the subs discussed in this thread. i have created a frequency responce curve for 4 subs below. the subs are and not in any order: Adire Brahma, JL W7, IDMAX, RMS-124 i threw mine in for grins the subs are all in exactly the same enclosure size of 1 cubic foot sealed.
now i want each one of you to try to guess what sub is which plot line. as you can see there are 2 that have the most flat and lowest responce curve. 2 of the subs have a much more gentle roll off and roll off at a higher frequency. i will give you all at least 24 hours to make your vote before i post the exact same plots with the blue squares removed that are hiding the names of the subs. lets see how much you guys know about the subs and in your opinion what is the best responce curves.
the first 2 plots are a normal alignment and the second is an incar responce. if i dont get too many responces in 24 hours ill wait a little longer unless you guys want results sooner.

here is sealed 1 cubic foot normal responce

here is the same box but showing IN car responce

now just for fun i did the same subs in 1.2 cubic foot boxes with a tuning frequency of 30 hz again the first is the normal responce

I would go with the red for the 1 cubic foot and yellow for 1.2. I am guessing when you said a tuning freq of 30hz, you gave them a 30hz tone. I don't really know which would sound the best but the yellow sure did respond well to the 30 hz, I would like to see how it did with other freq's. The red looks to have a little amplitude over the other subs in the 1 cubic foot box. I am going to guess that the yellow is the W7.

Design 1 = JL W7
Design 2 = Adire Brahma
Design 3 = RMS-124
Design 4 = IDMAX

Thats how I see it...if that isn't correct then #1 and #3 are switched...but i know #2 and #4 are correct

"2 that have the most flat and lowest responce curve"
"2 of the subs have a much more gentle roll off and roll off at a higher frequency"

So what plots are better for SQ?

some may or may not agree but to me the RMS and JL have the lowest and flattect curve so they get my vote

that is an unfair comparison

That box is way too small for the ID MAX even the W7 for that matter

The Adire Brahma is the only one really designed to go into a 1 cu ft box.

Ive heard a few W7s and Maxes in 1 cu ft boxes and they didnt sound impressive. Neither will their bass box pro results be.

If you want to look at SQ factors get a QTC of .707 on the drivers then compare
