Hey all,

Taking on a project to add a WD media player into the TSX, it'd be nice to have USB support as CDs are becoming a nuisance.

I've decided to go with the GB thats going on for Video input to my nav screen. However, audio selection seems to be very diverse and somewhat confusing.

If you are using an audio input, please give you input as to waht adapter you are using and how you like it. I'll be using RCA audio in (red, white cables, i think they're called RCA).

One last question, to get the audio to actually play, you just have to press the "xm/cd/aux" button untill the aux source is avaliable?

I picked up a USA-Spec from Crutchfield, works great with my iPhone and has an auxilary port for my Zune.

 

I'm using a USA Spec Aux adapter as well. However, from reading your application, I'm not entirely sure that the USA Spec is what you're looking for.

However, just talking about the USA Spec itself, it basically displays as a "CD Changer" if you're looking at what it shows on the screen.

 

crutchfield claims that usa-spec is not compatible with my car.. ??

 

I got the 150$ isimple kit at best buy, it added a headphone jack(AUX 1), Red / White Cables (AUX 2), and a Ipod Cable (IPOD) and XM still works (SAT). Whenever I hit the xm/aux button it will go into the last of the above modes it was in, or I can spin the tuner nob to select which i want. Pressing CD/AUX a second time switches to CD.

I took the green bulb out of the little cubby above the not an ash tray and ran the wires out through there, except the red/white which I had come out by the passengers feet.
