W6v2 Or W7

W6v2 Or W7
OK right now I have a 12W7 in a ported box and I took it out my car last night casue I had to leave town and went to ORL to the airport to pick someone up. Ok so now I was just lookin at my car and I see how my car use to sit without the box in the trunk and it looks damn sexy without the rear droped due to the weight of the sub and box.
And also lately for the past month I really been turning my subwoofer down alot casue to much bass just gets annoying.
So now I am thinking of either a 10W7 in a sealed box or a 12w6v2.
The 12" W7 weighs 45lbs
10W7 30 lbs
dont know the weight of the W6 though
Either way I might be takin about 25 to 35lbs away est.

Why not just build another box? This time isntead of using MDF, Use Baltic Birch.
If not, throw that bad boy in an infinite baffle
But if i had to choose, I'd choose the 12w6v2 since you'll save money. Output will be faily the same.

hey dnd i will trade you my 12w6v2 for your 12w7... lol.. but na i love my w6v2 but the 10w7 would probably hit harder... dont think you can go wrong either way...

20lbs... and 1.25 mdf... i hope that is only for your baffle board (one that the speaker sits on)... there is no reason for the rest of your box to be that thick escpecially since your box is ported less flex..

1.25 mdf, cheese and rice. That box must way a ton. I agree with Shawhite. Especially, since you have the 500/1 going to it, I think or do you have the 1,000/1? Either way, I do not think you need that thick of wood. I personally have never used bigger than 3/4 and have never had a problem.
