visor display

I'm looking for suggestions on which brands/models of visor lcd screens to consider. What's the best for the money?

how difficult is the installation?

I agree, Santeca is a GREAT brand. Also Icon and Accel. Installation isn't easy if you have never done it. I recommend doing 6.4" screen in your visor which run $750 EACH. That includes the monitor, installation, wiring, factory color matched material, etc.

Check www.streeteffectz.com under the video section for pics.

I've seen the pics on your website, they look great. $750 is a little more than I wanted to spend. Do you have any cheaper options?

What type of input do these displays have (composite/s-vid/other)?

How long can the video cable be run before you start to notice quality loss?

I was thinking of putting this in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. There is a vanity mirror with a cover in the visor. I'm not sure the dimensions, but it's pretty wide because there are 2 small lights on each side. I think it would be wider than the display. Is this a problem, or can you work around it?

Thanks for your help.

You can get smaller monitors for a little cheaper. As far as the hole for the mirror, he takes care of all that. I had the same thing and he did my visors for a GREAT price. Heres a pic.

You're right, they aren't too practical. I don't like driving with them on but I still do anyway. I have to keep the visor up towards the windshield or alse they get annoying. I guess you can say they are for "show" purpose. Its just a mod to me that I like.
