I have the viper 550esp w/remote start, I keep hearing about this Viper 790xv system. I did some research on it and I see that this new alarm system comes with a digital alarm box. My question is what is the difference with the alarm system I have now compared to the 790xv? I'm assuming that it's only because that new system has the digital box(if Im assuming correctly). Can someone tell me what's the deal on this new alarm system?

If anyone of you guys have it or had the 550esp and upgraded to the new 790xv, can you tell me what the difference is? If it's range or better security, thanks.

 

It's the same alarm, just has two way communication features. You can swap out the brain and extended range antenna and that's it. Same wiring and all.

 

streeteffectz, Do they sell just the brain and extended antenna, if so how much does it cost? Does the two way communication device work any better?
