So Fly TL 973

Hey guys, so I got a viper 5901 alarm and remote start for my 2002 TL type S. I had a shop install it cause I have no experience working with alarms. Everything is working fine with the alarm, but the remote start all of a sudden crapped out on me. When I hit the button everything turns on in the car, dash lights up, but the car does not turn over. I took it back to the place the guy looked it over and said that there is no power being sent from the brain to the starter cable out put. I just hope this is what can be wrong with the car. I dont want to be taken for a sucker!!!! Can anyone with experience please let me know if this can be the cause of the issue. I am using a bypass for it. Its really wierd that it was working great for 3 days and then it just stopped working. Please help with any thoughts or info.

if I were you, i'd take it back to the shop that did the install and have them figure it out, because it can be a hundred things, and the only true way to figure it out is to get in there with an electrical tester and start testing

Did you purchase the alarm system from the shop that installed it? If you did then you should have a lifetime warranty on the product and installation and they should be able to get it working one way or another. If you didn't, then it will likely cost you to get it working again.

After going through the r/s process and failing to start, the parking lights should flash a certain number of times. How many times does it flash? I assume the r/s is triggering since the shop was able to test for a starter signal.

One thing you can do is re-program the tach. IIRC all you have to do is start the vehicle, then hold down the button on the antenna. The park lights should start to flash as soon as it sees tach. If it doesn't, then there is a tach issue.

The other possibility is a bypass issue, but that will be more difficult to diagnose.
