On my fathers onstar unit in his truck I was able to solder on a RS-232 connector to connect to my laptop to use the gps services on long trips (ties in nicely to Streets and Trips), but i want to do the same in the Acura.

I don't want to purchase a handheld GPS receiver because i have one in the car already....i have the ETM for my car, but i need schematics of the board for the type of gps receiver we have....any ideas?
