Used audio equipment off ebay

I am aware of things you should be careful about ordering off ebay (speakers and whatnot) but what about cables and the soundgate snhond3?

are there any drawbacks to using/installing a used soundgate that I should be aware of?

I would say you just need to know if it was installed and uninstalled properly as to not damage the unit - if it works, no real draw backs to buying it used.

I bought a Kenwood amp off of ebay about 5 years ago or so to push 1 10" I had. Still works great to this day -- but it was listed as new in box. If your like me and want a tiny bit of added bass for cheap, ebay isn't too bad. But if you're an audiophile or are putting a little more than 1 sub and 1 amp, I'd stick to retailers.

i've purchased 2 alpines off of ebay and sold many audio components from my cars over the past 6 years. personally i don't see any issue with buying things on ebay but be sure to buy from a reputable seller. check his feedback. if he has 5,000 feedbacks and maybe 100 are negative then i wouldn't worry about it. if he has 500 feedbacks and 100 are negative, then i would steer clear. know what i mean?

and make sure they say that the unit has been tested in the add. if it arrives DOA then you have more of a chance to get your money back in that case.
