USA_SPEC group buy

OK, I have lots of you wanting USA SPEC units, and I'm out, and my wife/CPA says at the price we're sellig them she wants us to do a group buy prepay (USA SPEC makes me pay with a credit card before shipping, so every order saps the bank account... why I haven't gotten a 3rd shipment in yet.)

So everybody who wants one at $120 shipped, please contact me again at acurazine at avincar dot com with your paypal address, or your phone number for cc over the phone, and we'll get you taken care of! If we get enough orders today and over the weekend, we should ship on Thursday next week!

Regards,

Ken

elduderino, do you have to press play on the ipod when you start the car up, or does it automatically start playing where it left off when you last turned the car off?

i noticed on their website that you can now manually control the ipod (it isn't locked out) when plugged into USA_Spec. this is good news.

also, i am in portland. could i particpiate in the group buy without having to pay any shipping or anything like that?

The USASpec will automatically pause when you turn the ignition off and restart when you turn the ignition back on.

awesome. can i do the install without removing the head unit? by perhaps going through the top storage compartment (the one that pulls out)?

though, i would probably have to remove the whole center seat-divider part, to get the cables into the armrest (where the 06 aux adapter is). i'd like to keep the ipod in the arm rest if i got the USASpec

Yes you can do the install without removing the head unit. All you have to do is pull the top storage bin out and look for the connection on the head unit which is right above where the storage bin is usually at. You can grab a mirror and see to see where it exactly goes. Very easy install in less than 5 minutes.

It's funny how things change....
Back in the day USA-SPEC had the worst rep when it came to OEM int. and now they are quickly becoming the device of choice for many. I've only installed about 15 of these things (into 3g TL's and TSX's) but from what i can tell internally and externally they are by far the best product on the market (for Ipod int.) I hate dice and hopefully will not have to deal with dension anymore.

btw: 120 is a very good price and install is in fact a 5 min job.

And, if you use a wire fish (or a coat hanger if you're ghetto), YES, you can extend the ipod cable into the armrest bucket with more than enough extra length, even with the actual usa spec unit up under the headunit.

VERY interested as well, but would like to know if that's the model we'd be getting. also, i know it's been beaten to death, but I would need a pass through to maintain XM functionality, correct? If so, could you direct me to one that would work? I'm not so much an audiophile...thanks!
