tweeters and X overs

i just installed 2 ways in my Girls 2000 accord. They sound like they are missing highs, I was wondering if i disconnect the tweeters with the high freq. be directed to the 2 ways??? there is a X over in the factory sytem and i think its in the tweeters. basicly i just want to know if i disconnect the tweeters will i disable the x over so that ALL freq. go to the 2 way? i dont want to cut the wires on the tweets if im not sure b/c it a bitch putting them back on.

No crossovers don't work like that, you have to patch the signal in before the crossover. It is a passive crossover which means it will be between the amp and the speaker.

that little "cap" thing is the crossover. most stock tweeters have those crossovers attached to them. i would try disconnecting the stock tweeter and see what happens.

Cutting the high pass filter off of the tweeter will do nothing to the midrange. You must find the low pass filter and remove it, if there even is one.
