av electronic was selling an adapter that was "plug and play" - gave you TV tuner operation and an AUX input that I beleive you could connect to a camera. NavTV has a single-input unit that is not plug and play (maybe it is now). Short answer is that there are a lot of solutions, check with Ron at Street Effectz here, he'll be along, I'm sure : )

TV tuners in the car, for the most part, are a waste. The antenna is going to be the key for a decent picture, however, you're going to hit dead spots when you're driving no matter what.

We mainly use the AVelectronic piece for ACURA cars since it is plug and play. As for the rear camera, no problem. The TSX's we've done, we use a camera from ICON-TV and drill a 1" whole either to the left or right of the license plate or diretly through the plate. The camera is threaded so it flush mounts into these locations.

I do carry all this equipment, including the nice, SMALL, dvd players if you are interested. You can PM me or email me direct, streeteffectz@streeteffectz.com

How much for one of these backup cameras?
How is the visibility at night?

I have a Pioneer AVIC N1, have you ever hooked up one of these cameras to an N1 by chance?

That particular camera is like $250 and has a nice viewing angle and works very well at night. I have hooked these up to the N1 before, as well as pioneers backup camera (the quality just isn't as good from the pioneer camera)
