Post TV reception in the car

I've heard that getting good TV reception in a moving car is hard to do and there are sophisticated TV antennas that might do the trick. Has anyone tried these fancy antennas and tuners and found a good combination that works? What's a good brand?

Would the TV image be stretched when played back on our NAVI screens or would there be black bars on the side of the picture due to the format difference?

I would think that there would be black bars...
but aren't the NAVI screens 4:3 ratio, like a std. tv??
