Please excuse my ignorance... I've read through practically every thread in the DIY section, but most addressed the amp itself...

If I'm installing a BT handsfree kit and wanted to route the sound through the front speakers, could I just tap into the harness that plugs into the bottom of the head unit (specifically pins A7/A17 and A8/A18) with my HF kit?

If the answer is yes, let me also say that I have a USA Spec adapter. Would I tap into the adapter harness that connects into the head unit? Or would I tap into the original harness (from the amp?) that plugs into the USA Spec adapter?

Please be gentle --- I'm still really new to car electronics!

 

I think El Duderino had posted something on this a few years back. It had definitely been done but it was over my head. I have a Sony Ericcson HCB-30 kit in mine with the speaker in the "not an ashtray." If you are going to do this let me know since I am in Red Bank and would definitely like to see/help you do this.
