[rant] I have had my TSX for about 30 days and it appears the speakers in the dash are already broken. There is a chirping noise when I play alternative music. Either these are the worst speakers I have ever owned or they are defective; probably a little of both. [/rant]

I have decided to upgrade the entire sound system but I know zero about speakers and I don't want to spend many hours learning about sound systems. Does anyone know of a knowledgeable audio shop in Las Vegas that won't do a poor job?

I don't know shops in Las Vegas that well.

You need a balanced-input-capable amp and new speakers... JL Audio will work, Zapco would be better.

If you can't find anyone in Vegas, go to Scottsdale and Signature Audio.

 

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check out Sig Audio the next time I drive to Scottsdale. Zapco is a little more expensive than I am looking to pay. I am hoping to keep the upgrade under $1,000 and I need to keep my receiver since I have Nav. Is it possible to stay under $1K w/o a sub woofer?
