TSX - Best position for iPod with iTrip?

I was given a new 60GB iPod Video with an iTrip this weekend, and it's a great little setup, but I am getting some static when I have the iPod in the cubby or sitting in front of the gauges. It's not unbearable; It's just a little annoying. I have a PDA dash mount that I'm going to use, and I was wondering if anyone has found a certain spot that gives the best reception. It's hard to tell by just holding it and moving it around because of the human antenna effect.

I'm not spending anymore money on my car, so the Icelink and all that is out. Just trying to get the most out of my free ish.

I read on an iPod site that you can run an antenna wire from the receiver's antenna out to the area where you have the iPod sitting or mounted to cut out static. Could that be done in the TSX?

Since the stereo antenna is in the rear the arm rest may be better than the storage compartment. Right behind the storage compartment is the airbag sensors that cause people noise through their RCA's.

I'll try the arm rest thing.
