Does anyone know of a good reference work, either written or on the web, that gives a basic introduction to car audio.

I know this may sound a little lame, but I've never done anything with car audio. After a few months with the CL I think it is about time for me to learn so I can replace the stock system.

I just need something that will give me a good introduction to the basics of car audio.

And if you still haven't had enough a book called "The Car Stereo Cookbook" by Mark Rumreich is full of everything for beginners to intermediate users. I would try to avoid the car stereo magazines for now. There subjective reviews can be misleading. Try to stay away until you have a good understanding of the basics...
