I would check the speaker wires for sure. Should be like green, green/black, white, white/black, purple, purple/black, grey and grey/black. If you have power, thats about the only thing to look at.
As for the sub amp, I think you hooked up the blue/white wire from your Alpine and it should be blue. The blue/white is for power antenae and will only work with the radio on.
Double check your wires and let us know.

One other thing I just remembered. If you are using the Alpine's internal amp, you need to check in the system settings for the internal power. I forget what it is called exactly but, it is a feature that allows shutting down the internal amp if you have external amps. It reduces heat within the head unit. Make sure it is set to on. It might be like "IC POWER" or something like that.

Once you have power hooked up to your sub amp, you need to hook the remote wire up to the blue wire on the Alpine. Not the blue/white. That will provide the remote signal whenever the head unit is on. When the head unit is off, the amp should be off too. The sub just needs speaker wire from the amp to the sub. I am not sure how much of this you are asking. Be a little more specific on what you have done and we can help alot better.

bascially to reiterate what you have done, and what AcuraX2 has said, you hooked the antenna wire up to the factory remote turn on. in the alpine the ant. wire loses power any time you put in a cd so the factory amp obviously would in turn lose power. just switch the wire from the blue to the wlue with white (i might have that backwards, so which ever you don't have wired now, wire it up in place of the one you have wired.)
