On my 02 TL-S, the manual shows on the ICON page a 4th option to trace the route when you are not on a mapped street (I forget what the real name is)

When I go to that page, all I have is the Gas Station, Restaurant, and ATM choices.

Is this a change or a problem?

You are probably referring to the "breadcrumb" feature that is found on the MDX. I believe this is for off-road use, and will only be found on the MDX. I guess they left it off of our TL's so we don't try to go off road with them (hmm, that gives me an idea...)

 

That's right. The dealer told me the "breadcrumb" feature is only on the MDX-rats!

That sux. Why would they "dual-inventory" the Nav sytem? Why would they describe it in the TL manual? Why not put it in there, especially when they don't have every street in their map database.

I cannot understand what the big deal is about mapping the entire US. You can buy a $30 CD-ROM with every street on it from CompUSA, but on a $2000 DVD, they only have the metropolitan areas mapped completly.

What's the deal?

the gps is probably the same...the only diff is software...maybe someone can switch dvd with a mdx...or if it's in rom you probably have to change chips too?

Have you guys noticed there is a little antenna on the roof of NAV MDX & 3.5RL?????
I guess that's what it for.....
But why not TL or CL??????

 

Maybe the antenna is for the OnStar? Just a guess.
