instead of asking a question, to ask you a question..
it would be so much better if you just posted your journey, so other people could see it.

Upgraded Stereo 2017 Acura TLX

Went off grid and installed aftermarket deck in glovebox. Ill explain why later.

Focal ps165fx fronts
Focal ps165f rears
Jl Audio hd600/4
RF TBD 1000cp
JL Audio 12w6v3

Pics Below. I have non tech package 7 speaker stereo system. Biggest issue is the factory radio has everything integrated. Canbus is at 100% volume and the factory oem amp controls volume so tapping for signal pre amp is not possible unless you use dsp at which point you have to use the DSP's volume control. Tried the following products AudioControl LC6i, LC8i, DQDX, JLAudio Cleansweep, and hi/lo converters. Given that the oem radio is highly crossed over all of the above products produced a high and scrheechy output. Best possible route for cleanest sound was getting an aftermarket radio with a "remote app" control fucntion in this case i went with a kenwood kmr-m322bt which is smaller and can fit in the glovebox but no cds. DSP's and LOC's will not produce satisfactory results.

Controlling glovebox stereo

How do you control the stereo in your glovebox ?

How did you mount in glovebox ?

Did you have to cut away anything in glovebox ?

What did you do about the noise-canceling mics and/or the phone mics? i had a feedback problem. the speakers would pick it up and the whole speaker system made a steady and loud rumbling tone.
