Due to many requested in emails and PMs, I redid the installation and took some pictures. Make your judgement based on your handy skill before cutting stuff from your car. I can help with questions but cannot be held responsible for your or your installer's action
Prep: Remove the stock HU. For instructions, see FAQ sticky.
1. What the screen looks like originally. The 2 wires sticking out are my modified A/V inputs from the front. I removed the front input connectors later in the installation.

2. Remove the 2 screws on the sides.

3. Slightly pull the screen out with your hand.

4. Remove the top front cover. There are 2 latches on the top and 1 on each side.

5. Remove the metal brackets from the dash. Cut the brackets so you have enough clearance to the screen chasis to fit in (make sure it sits as high possible). Shown below is the modified brackets in red and blue boxes. You may need to trim the bottom side of the climate control box a little.

6. Customize a faceplate for the screen. If you want to leave the front A/V input along then below is what your faceplate should look like. I used plexi glass to build the base and some pieces from my dash kit for the cover.

7. Remove the Note holder from stock HU. Bend the 2 Note holder mounting bracket on top of stock HU down. The bent brackets will provide clearance for your screen to slight out and in. Trim the top of the stock HU (approx. 2mm) to make sure the face of the screen does not get scratched from movements. Your screen will be held in place by the dash (top) and the stock HU (bottom). Place the screen on top of the stock HU and lift up until the screen and stock HU's guides (2 white clips in front on both sides) sit in place. Mount the face place in. Besure to test the screen to see if it work properly before secure the stock HU.
In the pic below, I removed the A/V inputs connector and used RCA cables to move the inputs to the rear so the faceplate does not have the 2 holes.

9. Secure the faceplate to the dash using the customized brackets.

10. Reinstall everything to the way it was.
That's all. Good luck

It appears that you have more room between the climate controls and the top part of the head unit where the CD goes in. Was your install in a CL? I have a 2001 CL 3.2 Type-S you have exactly the set up I would want (other then its not black faced for stealthy ness).
