ok well i finally got my system installed today. i got a 4 ch alpine v12, mb quarts 5.25 component (because the 6.5 didn't fit) and boston pros for 6X9s. the thing is, that there are two problems. one, when i press the trunk release when the sound system is on, i get some sort of noise, just for a quick second..another thing that i got is that the fader and the balace settings are all fucked. like it will balace perfectly, but then when you goto fade back to front, the speakers in the front left will stay on, but the volume will decrase, but the other one will go off and the back will play..they tryed switching the RCAs and even the hi-low adapters..any ideas on whats up with this? did they just fuck up? they tryed it for like 1.5 hrs and still no luck..it sounds great, but i want the fade/balace to work incase i need to check to see if a speaker is blown..let me know if you have any ideas on whats going on and what i should check to see if its hooked up right or whatnot

With the bose headunit, you will most likely have to defeat (disconnect) the (-) going to either the front left or front right speaker because of the line converter. I won't get into TECHNICAL reasons why, but this should correct your problem, and YES, you speakers will still work.

As far as the trunk release, you are getting noise inducted through your RCA cables most likely.
