Switching between a factory and aftermarket system

Trying to switch between factory and aftermarket systems. Has anyone done it before? What i mean by it is having a switch and when the switch is activated the factory sub and amp are disabled and the aftermarket sub and amp is activated. Reason why i want to do this is because wife doesn't like to much bass and i do. So with the switch we can easy change which system to use.

I'm going to try to draw a wire schematic and see what you guys think. Be up later today.

Why not use Bass control on your HU, or buy an Equalizer. They are not too expensive and it will get the job done.

Yes i understand that women are difficult, but with an EQ she can just lower the bass level and that will be that. Besides can mount the thing anywhere you want.

If you're not upgrading the HU, just get a bass controller and run it to the front so when you want your bass, all you need to do is turn the knob.

No need for 2 systems... You can get a stock like sound from an aftermarket stereo system. I can turn my bass down (very easily in fact) in order to listen to any kind of music I want. I can turn the bass down to listen to country music daily, turn it up a bit to listen to some rock, or crank it for some rap. It's really not that difficult to do with an aftermarket head unit...

I can’t get my diagram to post but all you need is an SPDT switch. Just run the factory turn on wire to the switch. Connect each amps remote line to the switch as well. No need for relays.
