I have been looking at getting a pair of 8" subs. Right now i am looking at the JL 8w1.

Has anyone heard anyother good sounding 8's?

I heard 2 10W0s and I thought they sounded awesome....I'd go with 2 10's over 2 8's.

I am trying to reclaim my trunk space. So i was trying to keep it as small as possible.

The JL 8W6s are bad ass subs. Also the ID 8s are nice as well.

i personally heard avi 8" in a bandpass. it sounded great. not sure which model though. it didn't thump as hard as i like though, but i'm sure i'd sound great in the cl. plus it is really small so you'd have lots of trunk space.

I have one 10w3 w/350watts going to it and it's more than enough. If you don't want to be heard blocks away.

I hear JL has a real good set for 8s. There are 3-8s in a small box and sound really clean

Don't get 8's

Don't get 8's. Get 10's or 12's. The bass will hit harder.

Its NOT always a MATTER OF HITTING HARDER butt munch. Some people just want clearn crisp bass, they don't necessarily want their ears Bleeding !

Mmmmmmmm...you could get 2 JL 8w6's...but if you want to really rock your world with like practically no space used up...I would go for a JL 10w7. Costly? Yeah...like $350...but it will abuse 3 8w6's. While the 8w6's comfortably handle 250W max, the 10w7 will eat 750W like it's starving...and will handle 1000W max. I would suggest you go with a box in your trunk with 1 10w7, bandpass, ported through your rear deck of possible. If not...bandpass ported into the trunk. That will knock your socks off...and won't take up a lot of room. You could also take some 8" ID's or JL's and put them in kickpanels...
