Bought a Sony Ericsson T630 from ebay and paired it with the TL... works like a charm, no crackling, found the device no problems. I can see signal and battery life. Just letting you guys know. thanks!

Exclamation

The upgrade and newer version of T610 & T616... A couple of ppl used them months ago and filed the same reports...

I agree it should be much better than its predecessor.

May I know how much you paid for it?

it is unlocked, so it works with tmob or att, not for cingular because it does not support the 850 GSM band, but the T637 does... I paid 340 for the phone...

Just curious, do you leave BT turned on all the time and how is the battery life with those phones?

My 610, BT is permanently ON, and could stand by 3-4 days with regular phone usage.

Hmmm, I don't get that much life out of a T608. There was a delay of several months before Sprint finally released these phones, and the batteries went stale on the warehouse shelves. At first I barely got a day of battery life out of it, but after a few cycles it went up to about two days, maybe part of a third. My phone uses the same battery as yours, may be I'll pony up for a new one. Four days of battery life would sure be nice.

T630 is a great phone. I'm going for the K700 when it comes out.

btw, when you leave your car, turn your bluetooth off...I'd hate to see fellow TL'ers get bluejacked...well its a funny site to watch but a pain when people are sending you random messages and you don't know where its coming from.

I turned off the "BT Visibility" on my T616, so that it doesn't broadcast it's name, but it's still ON for devices it has already paired with.

And damn don't ya know they come out with something new just as soon as I buy the T616.. oh well.. asi es la vida.

The T630/T637 was released a couple months ago. The K700 was announced and shown at CeBit earlier this month. Every 7-9 months, new phones will be announced or released. Its definitely a growing industry.
