Subwoofers

Well, i just got 2 12" Alpine Type R subs for my TL-S and i was just wondering why the bass doesnt go out of the car much. I mean you can here it really loudly inside the car but it just doesnt bump on the outside. Is that the cars fault or the box i got for them. I just got a regular box where the subs are right next to each other facing outward towards the rear of the car(not the one with glass) In my friend's accord, it sounds really loud from the outside but it doesnt in mine. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Dude, I have 2 Type R's in my TL... They rip. They are rediculously loud inside, AND outside the car. It's all about power. I've got mine running off of a Pheonix Gold 600.2. Also, our cars have stock sound deadaning stuff factory. It works pretty good, for what we're running. I bet the Accord doesn't have that! If you dynomatt your trunk, also, it will make it sound louder from the outside, and the inside. You won't have conflicting soundwaves from rattle. Trust me, I know.
