what do you guys think of this sub?, just thinking of getting one for my trunk.

yeah i work in an audio video mobile shop and that sub is actually listed ata very good price on that website....umm yeah 1200 watts rms is a little rediculous...if you look at the first generation my cars system is under the post "system!!!" just make sure you dynamat...and UNDER THE CARPET on the roof of the trunk....BEHIND THE LISCENSE PLATE.....dorr panels if you have good speakers....yanno...jsut trying to help you out....wow after i wrote this i realized u didnt even get them yet...but yeah...wuteva you get DYNAMAT DYNAMAT DYNAMAT .....rattle =

 

Not that great of a subwoofer. Look elsewhere for better quality subwoofers. Take a look at the RE groubbuy link (somewhere in this thread). The RE SE should be priced a bit more, but quality (and sound quality) should be better while having the potential to get even louder.

i think that is wrong.... i think it means 120 rms
those subs are small

my subs are 600 rms around there i paid 450 for each
my subs are HUGE 3X that

Audiobahn is pretty pathetic. Try JL Audio or Kicker. In tems of RMS. Depends on the subs, and matching those, if you are running 1 12" or 2 10". Running DVC, or mono. 2 Ohm or 4 ohm. etc. I'd say at minimum 300 W rms at 4ohm and the same amp should be 2 ohm stable, allowing for 600 w rms. eg. Kicker KX600.1

 

not all audiobahns are junk, but for the most part there lower end is. I had thier flame q's then upgraded to the AWT, and i guarantee that the 2 12'' AWT's would out knock most people's systems.... thier amps on the other hand i don't like. I switched over to JL subs b/c they are less power hungry...
