subwoofer-noise?

So I asked a couple professional places about installing my rockford fosgate amp and two 8inch subs. One said they wouldn't recommend it because using a high to low output converter would add noise and pop to my system and wouldn't sound good. He also said it could damage my amps. Another guy who said it might add noise but you wouldn't be able to tell until you tried it.

Has anyone been experiencing increased noise with their subs? and is there any way to minimize it. also how much should the install cost? my amp is already attached to my enclosed box for my subs so all I need is for them to be wired and powered.

thanks

You can try using ground loop isolators if you get a noise problem. They are avaiable at any radio shack but it would require a little ghetto riging. Not to hard though. Sorry dont know about cost of install. I do all of my installs myself.

I do not have any noise coming from my speakers in my car. All I did was get a high grade LLC and use some T-taps on your speaker wires at your back speaker and run the wires into the LLC and wire it to the amp. It is very easy and does not take much time. You are looking at about $20 for the LLC and just how ever much your speaker wire is depending on the size you use and the fuse that you use. I do all my work my self but most places to put it in without seeing any wires in the engine comp. and a clean install job would probally set you back any where from $125 to $250 depending on the shop and where you live.
