i dont think any sub out there can comepare to the JL w7. i have a 12w7 in my trunk powered by a JL 1000/1 and with only one speaker i know that some people with 3 or 4 speakers that can not knocc as loud as my car does. i been told that i can hit in teh 140s but i wanna be able to hit over 150.

If you are looking for an all around awesome sub, then I agree with ANDYTRAN. The JL provides a great combination of SQ and SPL but, you get what you pay for and they are expensive. The Brahma's I would put a step below. Right there with the IDMAX. For the price, I think the IDMAX and Brahma are outstanding choices. That is why I have an IDMAX in my trunk. Best subwoofer I have ever owned, period.
